Thanks to Boo for Mint KDE!

Boo - thank you for Mint KDE 4.0!

It's greater than I could have hoped. I downloaded the light version (that I've been bugging you about for months :P ) and it exceeds every expectation I had. Hope you rest easy now, mate :D

Tasty menu, blue color theme - if I were to build a KDE myself, it would be this ;) I will be getting started on the wiki stuff after I've had enough time to explore your masterpiece.

In the meantime, I think we fellow users, who've nipped at Boo's heels incessantly, should say a big "Thank you" to Jamie for giving us this fantastic spin!

Looking forward to Elyssa, but not impatiently, as this will fulfill my needs for quite some time!

Now, for a quick question - is there a deb for the wallpapers that were cut for the lite version?

Again, thanks for the wonderful pressie!!!

Give the man some props, everyone - he deserves it!

Just trying out Mint 4.0 KDE, looks great, and works great.
With the blue mint shouldn't it be named strongmint :-)

A question, when the iso is burned to a DVD-RW can the mint updates be implemented before installation to harddisk ?

Thanks a lot for the work, most likely this will be my OS for a long time.

the release notes tell you an upgrade path from B44 to final.

no you can not apply the updates to a DVD-RW before installing to HD.

Interesting release. My thoughts:

The Good: Blue theme, robust package selection, clean desktop, accurate GRUB menu replacement after installation over another distro.

The Bad: Tasty menu hangs quite a bit before bringing up the next selection.

The Ugly: Install crashed the first time.

Overall: It's very obvious that a lot of hard work went into this release. A lot of congratulations are well deserved for everyone involved. I'll probably head back to a default Gutsy Gibbon 64-bit release due to it's faster system response, but I enjoyed playing with Mint KDE. Thank you.

Really a very impressive work!!
So far it's the best distro I've ever used...
Mint would be my favourite GNU/Linux if it wasn't a gnome distro...
Now..Who can challenge Mint KDE ?
Boo..You are wonderful!!

hi,
i was probably one of the firsts downloading this release :) was not even on the website in the news :)
i was going to the mirror very frequently.
However only now i could install it :D :D :D :D

great work Boo, and all the rest.
i have some things to put back in order, but it's fast, slick, shiny, full featured.
it's mint in most of the aspects.

The big advantage that Celena had in my point of view ... it had already my MP3 collection built :) it takes hours.
