KDE live dvd

I really like what I have seen of KDE and thought I would check out the live dvd. I had no problem booting but when the desktop came up, I clicked on the wireless to connect and could never get anything to come up. I saw my router and clicked on it but it would not allow me to put my password in so as to connect. So, what is the secret to getting the password field to come up so I can connect? I double clicked, right clicked, middle clicked and hit the enter key but nothing. It highlights perfectly but how do you get it to the point of signing in? I know I'm going to feel like an idiot but it certainly will not be the first time
