SOLVED: Gwenview DigiKam kipi plugins

I've noticed that kipi plugins are not working in either Gwenview or DigiKam in Mint 13 KDE even after installing them. However they worked fine in Kubuntu 12.04

Anybody know if this is a Mint issue??

Had to upgrade DigiKam to 2.7.0. Once done both Gwenview and DigiKam kipi plugins worked fine..
