I think I've read all wireless related posts but I cannot find a solution for my case.
I installed Mint 13 KDE - 32bit a couple of days ago.
I followed the instructions I've read in most posts about BCM4311 and managed to connect successfully.
But, while I am connected, if I reboot the modem, the connection is lost - this is normal - but then I cannot establish it again.
I'm getting asked for the WPA password all the time, I give the correct password and nothing happens.
Then, if I click at the network icon in the system tray and select to disable wireless and then enable it again, I do connect.
Is this normal?
The output from mintWifi while I am connected - before booting the modem - is this:

Rather than invoking init scripts through /etc/init.d, use the service(8)
utility, e.g. service smbd reload
Since the script you are attempting to invoke has been converted to an
Upstart job, you may also use the reload(8) utility, e.g. reload smbd
