In Linux Mint 4.0 KDE, Add remove programs crashes

Hello All,

Being a 'newbie' at Linux Mint, I am having problems with the (Add-Remove) function in Linux Mint 4.0 KDE. When I call it, nothing shows up after the 'busy cursor' quits - or I get a message that the application crashed. Any advice here appreciated.
