Jackd won't start for me. Mint KDE 14

I can't seem to get Jackd to start for me through QjackCtL or when trying to start it from the command line. I really want to use audio editing programs but it seems a lot of them use JACK. Here's the output from QjackCtl Message window and from Jackd -d alsa -d hw:0

I had the second command in cause I saw it was asked in another thread on the forums but for them it successfully started Jack Server.

I never could get it to work in 12 or 13, haven't tried it in 14 yet. I'd like to use ardour myself but have had no luck with it in
Mint.

Yep - trying to get a simple tuner going with jack - nothin' doin.

LM 13 ...
