KDE for Daryna ?

Hello,

I am using a Daryna Linux Box, and I'm wondering if there is an easy way to use the KDE desktop environment inside my system, instead of the default Gnome environment. What if I install the kde core packages with synaptic ? In particular, I wonder if the system that I obtain is the same of the one provided by the KDE community edition, and if I take care of some packages to install or NOT to install...

As stated many times before
You can install any desktop environment and log in to the one of your choice
but that does not bring you the KDE edition - there are lots of changes made to it you will not have

Well, if not else, it would be nice that one had the possibility to obtain a fully KDE edition starting from the classical edition, in one (o few well documented) easy step. What about a metapackage?

The difference between the editions is rather large.

This may be possible - perhaps with version 6 as we are to make a metapackage for upgrading to ver 6
