Backing-up KOrganizer

Postby Tony G on Thu May 29, 2008 9:39 am

Over the weekend, I think I'm going to be re-partitioning my hard drive and re-installing Darnya KCE as part of an overall scheme to remove Windows from my laptop.8) I have a separate /home partition. I would rip my hair out if I lost my Kontact calendar and to-do list. Am I correct in understanding that what I should back-up is ~/.kde/share/apps/korganizer (calendar & to-do list) and ~/.kde/share/config (KDE component settings)?

Thanks in advance,

Anthony

Tony G,
You should check the same directory for the file "kabc", which contains the addressbook.

Just noticed you posted May 29th, how did you do?

It's still May 29th here, and I'm taking my time working up to this. I'm thrilled to be removing Windows from my system, but I'm gathering as much info I can about the removal and re-partitioning before actually doing it (probably over this weekend).

Thanks for your reply,

Anthony
