Mint 16 KDE before January?

Postby Rinaldus on Mon Dec 02, 2013 6:22 pm

Ubuntu 13.04 support will expire in January, 2014. Can I hope, that Linux Mint 16 with KDE will be released before expiration of current version?

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

I hope so. If I had known the support time was so short I would have gone with mint 13.

Sunday, says Clem. (Edit: For RC release; usually a couple of weeks after for the final release.)

I installed Mint 16 KDE RC last night on a legacy laptop. Probably because of older CPU, it took about 40 minutes in all. No problems so far. I only wish the installer had different colors to distinguish various partitions for distros, just like Ubuntu installer (Manual > Disk Setup).

Cheers!
