Mouse doubleclick speed not always honoured

Postby Cobber on Fri Mar 21, 2014 11:23 am

I am using a Microsoft optical mouse with my Mint 14/32-Bit/KDE installation.

Most applications take notice of the doubleclick speed I have set for the left button. However, some actions seem to ignore it and require an almost instant double click. Any physical delay in clicking the button twice does not do the action required.

I have noticed it in Software Manager, when trying to open an application to read about it, and when trying to open a folder location when using "File Save".

Currently I have the doubleclick speed set to 1500msec, which is recognized by most applications.

Does anyone have any idea why my setting is being ignored by some applications, but honoured by others?
