Problem logging into dolphin as root

Postby brute on Tue Mar 31, 2009 2:14 pm

I get a message at the bottom of dolphin that says could not start process, cannot talk to klauncher.
Anyone have a solution for this? 4.1 KDE I tried kdesudo dolphin, tried sudo su root each time I get the same message.

Hi

The method I have used with success ( only used it with the 4.2.1 ppa upgrade ) is to press the F4 key while in Dolphin and that will open an embedded terminal at the bottom of Dolphin and from there I ran the sudo dolphin command. KDE 4 on several different distros I have tried can give you some pretty cryptic messages.

Btw grimdestripador good to hear you got compiz working.
