Font/Text issues within web browser, newsreader, etc.

Postby sa330206 on Sun Apr 19, 2009 10:30 pm

I am having trouble with the font within certain applications. The font in my web browser and newsreader is so small I can't even read it. When I first installed, the font for everything was tiny. Going to System Settings=>Appearance=>Font and changing all of these to about 14 worked for most things. Unfortunately the text in the browser/news reader are still tiny. Any clue how to change this? I suspect this has to do with the 32" LCD TV I have the PC hooked up to. I have Linux Mint 6 KDE CE installed on my laptop and desktop PC and do not have any problem with the font on its default settings. Any idea how to fix this problem? Thanks in advance!

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

for KDE apps the font should have been changed but for gnome apps (firefox) they would not have.
you may have to look for the setting in each gnome app or you may be able to use gconf to change all gnome apps.
