ATI Drivers work in KDE :)

Postby Gezzer on Wed Sep 09, 2009 4:33 am

I previously tried the Gnome version of mint and was quite impressed, but lack of working ATI drivers made me have to pass. Tried the KDE version and the ATI drivers work, even have sound over my HDMI. One problem though, I can't seem to find a setting that will let me span my desktop instead of mirroring it. As it stands my install works, and I'm going to keep trying.
But if any one knows an easy way to change this preference, it would really help me out.

Thanks in advance. :D

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Honestly, I have no idea what that means. Please explain.

Spanning = 2 or more monitors where the desktop appears across both monitors as one large desktop

Example: two 1440 x 900 monitors in a side by side would be a 2880 x 900 desktop in actuality.

Mirror = exactly that, its a mirror one to one of screen one on screen two, good for training, presentations etc...
Julep....mixing.....KDE Done right, and minty.
