(Solved) Mint 7 with kde 4.3.1 recording problem

Postby kage on Mon Sep 14, 2009 6:07 am

Hi there,

With sound everything is oke when using output: (playing music watching video etc) but when recording there is no sound recorded.
I have a notebook (acer aspire 9502) with built in mics. I enabled the settings and channels in Kmix.
When i cover the mic holes or putting the recording volume to max the thing begins to scream so the mics do work.

When starting skype or audacity and recording there is a flat line and nothing is recorded.

I consulted the multimedia settings and found out that analog output (HDA Intel (ALC260 Analog)) can be tested or changed.
When choosing input i see exactly the same soundcard but everything is grayed out and cannot be chaged or tested.

How can i get my microphone to work with skype and audacity?

thanks for helping

Hi Husse,

thnx for replying. Just solved the problem

I switched the mics to off in kmix instead of on.......

Both skype and audacity work well!
