Mint x86_64 + kde 4.3.2

I read somewhere it could not be done? I did it and most of it works great. knetworkmanager don't work, but, since I already have Gloria's wireless I just added a line to my startup applications "nm-applet", I got the best of both worlds. I now have a choice at login to use Gnome or KDE desktops. What did it take? First I went to synaptic and install KDE and all of it's packages. That got me KDE 4.2.2. Then I went to Ubuntu and found the Kubuntu backports with the code to verify them. Installed the backports in my software sources, verified in Terminal and used "sudo apt-get dist-upgrade" which updated my KDE to 4.3.2.
