DarkIce - Streamcaster

Postby rec9140 on Wed Nov 18, 2009 9:28 am

Any one using the DarkIce streamcaster on KMint, preferably Elyssa.

If your not famillar with it:
http://code.google.com/p/darkice/

Its a streamer to an IceCast2 server, which I have setup one, but need to find a Linux streamer. ices2 is out as its Ogg only, and while I like Ogg, unfortunately the vast majority of the potential listeners don't know what Ogg is and won't have support on their virOS to use it.

Code: Select all
rec9140@rec9140-desktop:~$ sudo apt-get -s install darkice

The BIG issue here is the version in the apt-get the version that supports MP3? As Debian's doesn't due the ^%$^% IP BS.
