When I use apt-get update prior to apt-get dist-upgrade it always stops at 99%. Does anybody know why?

Some of the Ubuntu repos have been a bit slow lately, Give it some more time and it should eventually finish. I waited ten minutes on one yesterday.

If you have the Google Chrome repo in your list it will always hang (99% of the time) since the Google repo is always so busy.

Simply hit ESC (you'll see it failed to get the Google repo) and you can update your system. I do find that whenever a new DEV update is ready
from Google their repo is up and the update comes over on the first shot.

Yes, I just spotted that and removed it from Software Sources. What does it do anyway as I have the LaunchPad Chromium daily PPA enabled already?
