[SOLVED] Kick-off menu is still showing old crap

Postby midas on Fri Apr 13, 2012 3:19 am

After installing the Muon package and completely removing the Mint-install package it is not fully deleted in the Kick-off menu:

In Kick-off menu going to the 3rd tab ('computer')....there is still a line 'mintinstall.py'....only text without an icon.

How can I delete this line 'mintinstall.py' completely from this 3rd tab ('computer')???

Many thanks :)

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Hi. Remove it completely:
sudo apt-get purge mintinstall

Thanks...but didn't do the job:

´Mintinstall is not installed so could not be removed'

Solved (more or less)! I am using the Lancelot-launcher now in which the 'problem' doesn't exist. It is my first experience with Lancelot and it is really cool...actually much better than the Kick-off menu...

in any case, right click on the launcher icon, menu editor, then you can delete what you want from the menu
