A good side effect of UP4: my volume controls work now!

I have an HP Pavillion HDX16, and prior to UP4 the dedicated touch-sensitive volume controls didn't work. Now they do, although with one quirky side effect: if I use the touch-sensitive mute button, the sound will mute but I can't unmute it with the same button; I have to go to Applications Menu > Multimedia > PulseAudio Volume Control and unmute it there. I can live with that, but I figured I'd share.

I have somewhat the same problem with my desktop machine running Debian Edition. I set up a keyboard shortcut to use <ALT> and </> to mute and unmute the audio. ALT+/ will mute the sound but it won't unmute it. (It did before, btw, with a previous version of Mint.) So I have to bring up the taskbar at the bottom of the screen and take off the mute from there. Not a big problem, but I'd like to keep my fingers on the keyboard rather than having to grab the mouse to get the sound back!
