I believe it will be a new feature in XFCE 4.10
But if its a standard touchpad/trackpad you can use the package 'gpointing-device-settings' in package manager (Apt, synaptic or Mint's 'Software Manager')
P.S. theirs a comand (CLI) to do it but the above is easier

put icon in panel.
Edit their also mintinput (I think works in XFCE) but only in repos of Ubuntu versions not LMDE ones
