LM13 XFCE with Gedit 3.4.1
Annoying problem. Files that are associated with Gedit don't load from Thunar or desktop. Only when i doubleclick a second time, Gedit starts and the file loads. I tried removing then installing back Gedit but problem persists.

I've been using mousepad because of gedit being so slow to load, I'd rather use mousepad in Xfce anyway.

Good to hear Mousepad is working for you. 
I'd like to keep using Gedit, especially for html and css. Can anyone help me?
