Slow Keyboard Response Rate (Sometimes)

I installed Mint 14 XFCE on my desktop today, and it's fine, except for one issue. The keyboard sometimes lags. I can't seem to notice a pattern, and it happens regardless of what program I'm using (Firefox, gedit, terminal, whatever else). Sometimes the keyboard will completely stop responding and then about five seconds later, what I was typing will finally show up.

I have a Logitech wireless keyboard, but it works fine with other distributions on the same machine. My machine is a Dell Precision T3400 with 8GB of RAM and a 2.4Ghz Core 2 Quad, Nvidia graphics with the proprietary driver. I searched this forum and found several topics with the same symptoms, but no confirmed solution.

I'm hoping someone has a solution...
