That's to the forum for the Team only.
I fixed the link so try it again.

Have you found the time to look at the "SAM-menu-solution" I mentioned earlier?

It's using a plugin called xfce4-xfapplet-plugin to run the Gnome menu on the xfce panel.
This makes it use more memory and is slower to get the menu running when you login.
Also it can crash and then you have no menu.(unless you add the xfce menu)
I can get it to work like they did.
It would be missing all the xfce only applications.(most can be found in the Control Center for xfce)
I wish I could port it to xfce as a xfce menu and not a gnome one.![]()
It causes to many problems to use.

I am thinking of getting ride of Sunbird and replacing it with lighting-extension for Thunderbird.
Also I didn't install everything that's on the main.(low on space)
Will see what I still can.

Zwopper wrote:Great news!
I second the replacement of sunbird!
But then again, what's wrong with Orage, the latest version has some really nice features and a clean layout.

Arron wrote:I have always been curious why Sunbird was on it, not Evolution or the Thunderbird with the add on? I do like having email and calendar all in one app. The Sunbird with thunderbird separate kept me away from using the email to much.
Does Evolution take more space, requiring more lib's from gnome? Or is there other reasoning?
Is the 3d desktop being kept out of XFCE 5? ( I like it without the graphics personally, more XFCE / light weight orientated).
Thanks for all the hard work. I wish there was more I could do to help with Mint XFCE, myself and others I know like it far above the mainstream distro (not that that is bad, all mints I have used are great!).

merlwiz79 wrote:If you like email and calendar in one try looking at Spicebird. viewtopic.php?f=32&t=10369
I kept it in the last one since there was space for it and because I like that I can sync with google calendars.
I believe I have everything installed(no pulse audio, it's not in xubuntu and doesn't seem to work when installed) and it 682.4MBs
I am not sure if Evolution takes up more space or not.(i try to keep this close to the main.)
I have compiz fusion installed but not enabled, you use mintDesktop to enable it.(fusion-icon can do this as well)
