Using Mint16 Xfce LiveUSB, and mostly very pleased with it.
However, I note sometimes on boot-up the whisker menu comes up blank.
I overcome this with ctrl-alt-backspace, but that's a nuisance.
I may myself somehow interrupt the initial screen set-up and contribute to this
anomaly by moving my mouse pointer over hidden bottom panel soon after start-up.
I do this because I'm anxious to see what the progress might be in getting my
wifi on-line.
Has anyone else noticed the whisker menu coming up blank initially?

Yes, I've had it happen on a live USB also; but did not happen once installed to hard drive. Can't remember if I tried the USB on more than one computer or not -- so can't really say whether or not it was a machine-specific glitch. Computer it happened on was a Frankenstein creation I made from both old and new parts -- (New) AMD Athlon II X3 450, (Old) Nvidia GeForce GT 430, (Old) 4GB DDR2 RAM, (New) ASRock Mobo N68C-S, (Old) 30GB IDE HD, (New) DVD drive.
P.s. Pretty sure it also happened with live DVD -- so not just a USB thing. Might just be because Nvidia graphics driver not in use on live system, but is on installed one.
