Problem with touchpad and Petra installation DVD

I'm not sure whatever i should place this in "Hardware", but anyway:
I'm currently running Liza on an ASUS notebook. I haven't got any problems with this hardware. But now i wish to update to Petra Xfce edition. The very problem is that the touchpad doesn't work in the LiveDVD system. I cannot even copy the LiveDVD logs here (probably I just need more practice, but using it without any pointing device is painful), but this is the logs of my current working system:

lsusb seems completely identical with LiveDVD's lsusb. But LiveDVD's xinput doesn't detect any pointing device (hence, the "mouse and touchpad" settings are disabled). Can anybody help my to figure out why the LiveDVD system doesn't detect the touchpad? Thanks in advance.
