About to grab some more RAM from my machine. Im guessing Mint XFCE is 32 bit, therefore not worth me grabbing 8 gig of RAM if im using this as my main distro atm. But just incase, how much RAM can it make use off?
Generally the question for XFCE is how little RAM can it use How much - the same as for any 32 bit operating system - between 3 and 3.5 GB Remember that many mobos want to have memory in equal pairs for best performance
Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
Thanks for the reply I use XFCE not only for a small footprint, but i like the way XFCE works. I like being able to use its window compositing without messing up openGL graphics with my ATI card. Most of all, i use it for the mouse!
