Elyssa XFCE CE task bar dissappeared *SOLVED*

Postby nöösipoika on Mon Oct 13, 2008 2:55 am

Hi!
I've used XFCE CE for a couple of weeks and I'm very satisfied with this release. Yesterday during internet surfing the task bar dissappeared suddenly. I can't find solution for this problem from menu's. Can anyone give me advice in this problem? Thanks!

Can't exactly figure out how this happened... might be a bug. :?

But now you can restore or add a fresh panel from Menu> Settings> Panel Manager. :)

Thanks for the answer.. Yes I meaned "panel" when I mentioned "task bar". But the Panel Manager doesn't start at all, nothing happens when I click it at the menu. Any ideas?

I got solution for this issue from Finnish forum: Press alt+F2 > write "xfce4-panel" > enter. Sign out (remember "Save session"). Sign in.
For future shut downs and sign outs the Finnish colleques suggested that I shouldn't use "Save session" -feature.

Hi!
Thank you for (fantastically) SIMPLE solution for the same problem - after spending hours and trying to figure out complex "advices" from several pages with no real result.
