NTFS not mounting

I have an hp laptop i am working on getting the files off of a corrupted windows xp :lol: . I can mount the external ntfs hd that i have, but i cant mount the internal ntfs partition.

try running these in terminal:(replacing sdxX with the one you are mounting ie /dev/sda1 )
Code: Select all
sudo mkdir /media/XP

Code: Select all
sudo mount /dev/sdxX /media/XP

Thanks but the person who's laptop just took it to get repaired.
