Make Firefox default browser in Kopete

Postby Shane Oliver on Wed Apr 22, 2009 12:03 am

Hello y'all.

Shane Oliver here.

First of all... I LOVE Linux Mint XFCE. It is so far my favorite Linux flave.

I'm runnin' into a few problems though, and I'm wondering how to fix them.

Basically, I noticed that when I'm in chat in Kopete and I click on a link sent to me, Thunderbird opens up. I'm trying to get Kopete to use Firefox to open links instead.

I uninstalled Thunderbird, but (obviously) that didn't help.

What do I do? I've been all over the web, and apparently there's a KDE Control Manager that I'm supposed to use. That didn't work. Any other ideas?

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Do you use XFCE or KDE?
I don't think Kopete is standard in XFCE

Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it

It isn't. I prefer it to Pidgin because it has webcam support, where Pidgin doesn't.
