Keyboard shortcuts

Postby keithp on Fri May 01, 2009 4:28 am

I am running XFCE Felicia.

My keyboard has three extra keys, one marked 'www', one marked 'Search' and one marked 'E-mail'.

In Gnome, it is an easy job to assign them so that pressing them starts the appropriate program.

But I can't find a way of assigning them in XFCE. Is there a way, please? I have their keycodes.

I know that I can use the menu to start the programs, but as I have the keys, it is a pity not to use them. Laziness??

Many thanks

Keith.

I remember that keyboard special keys are a bit different in XFCE
I found this

Hello Husse.

Thank you for your reply and pointing me to a possible solution.

Unfortunately, I've had computer problems for the past few days, so have been computerless! So I have not been able to try it yet. But all is OK now.

Many thanks for your help.
