XFCE Mint7 and browsers

Postby gonzo01 on Tue Sep 15, 2009 5:12 am

Does XFCE Mint 7 have the Web Browser branding as does "full" Mint7?

ie Does it have "Full" access to Google's features or the default Mint7 restricted version?

I'd like to know before downloading the new iso as I dont want to waste my download limit.

I moved back to Ubuntu from Mint7 because of this "feature"

Thanks

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

I'm sorry, but that's quite possibly the stupidest thing I've ever seen.

You know that if Mint's Google page bothers you that much, you can just change it, right? How inept are you?

You would purge an entire OS and reinstall another one, just because of a Google search in a web browser? And didn't Ubuntu start using their own branded Google search page?

The one in Linux Mint 7 has more features than the last one.
We get money from Google with our custom search and it helps keep the servers going.
In the Xfce version I have added the Original Google as a setting for the search bar.
