No access to certain commands as a user in Xfce (SOLVED)

Postby bigbearomaha on Wed Nov 28, 2007 12:50 pm

While trying to add a custom command to thunar in the right click section, I notice that there are some commands that can only be seen apparently in Xfce if logged in as root (or SU in a user terminal).

In KDE or Gnome, these commands can be used as a user, prompted for a pass.
In Xfce however, no go, you must deliberately log in as root or SU in a terminal to "see" some commands.

Any idea of how to make Xfce user accts "see" commands only visible to Root?

:D

Ok, solved it. It's a "duh"

some commands are "root" access commands and must otherwise be given with the full path. ie.../usr/sbin/command. etc...

have fun.
