[SOLVED] Panels hiding windows

I have 2 panels on the bottom but the windows are maximizing to take up the entire screen, thus going behind the panels. For some of the packages I work with, I need to see full windows. Is there a way to make windows maximize to panel edges?

Edit: Solution: In Workspace Properties, I set the bottom margin to the thickness of the 2 panels. Now it's perfect. Before, I couldn't see the URL of the hovered links in the browser and I couldn't see the coordinates of the cursor in my GIS package of choice.
