I think you have that reversed. LXTask clearly shares in its credits that it is derived from Xfce4 Task Manager :shock:

Hey, really looking forward to this!

I recently moved from lmde (with xfce) to ubuntu 12.04, but unity isn't really for me, neither for my oldish laptop. I'll come straight back to mint when mint 13 xfce is released!
