Just installed LMDE, quite impressed at the moment, the only issue I have so far, is I cant enable any visual effects.
when I right click the Desktop & go to "change desktop background" theres no visual effects tab.
Compiz & plugins plus fusion-icon is installed, and set up, but I have nothing.
Is this just me or does anyone else have the same problem?

I also had to add compiz to the Startup Application list.cottfcfan wrote:Just installed LMDE, quite impressed at the moment, the only issue I have so far, is I cant enable any visual effects.

Re: No Visual Effects (SOLVED)
Thanks for all your posts, tried them all and nothing worked.
In the end I compared all my Ubuntu graphics packages I had installed with those on LMDE.
One was missing "libgl1-mesa-dri".
Installed that package and visual effects are restored.
Thanks again.
