The new LMDE (Debian 6.0 Squeeze) with upgraded 2.6.37 Kernel (generic) and the new 4.8 Xfce desktop environment.

I installed/compiled the new Xfce-4.8 desktop over the stock LMDE Gnome base.

Nothing fancy . . . I like simple, functional and minimal. I just want my desktop/OS to work and stay out of my way.

(Wallpaper stayed the same -- everything else is 'upgraded' from the last screenshot posted) 8)

I have been playing with gimp now and again, but still can't get it right. Below is my attempt for a new LMDE wallpaper!

I posted my newest LMDE desktop on the Unofficial Linux Mint Desktop Thread. Rather than reposting the images the thumbnail links to them.

All the screen shots are great and show a lot of diversity and individual tastes, which is one of the great things about Linux. So I am posting mine as well;

It isn't about it being free. Rather, its about the freedom it brings.
