Wallpaper Per Desktop

Postby Notna888 on Sat Jun 19, 2010 10:56 pm

Hello,

I've been searching for the last week or so for a way to set a different wallpaper for each desktop in Mint Fluxbox 8

I have found a few but they more seem to be for the gnome desktop and one article said that the KDE desktop had it inbuilt,
I'm no good at making/compiling tar files so I can't exactly do that, although if anyone knows a link to a site that explains it in simple terms that would be appreciated too.
I found a deb on the ubuntu forums for an app called "wallpapoz" Its meant for Gnome but I was hoping it will also work on Fluxbox but when I opened it I got the error " Dependency is not satisfiable: libglademm-2.4-1" when I have "libglademm-2.4-1c2a" installed and that's the latest version, is there any way I can get it working? Or is there a complete alternative?

Thanks in advanced

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Compiling is not for the faints in heart. That said, here are some links.

I've never found an easy way to do this outside of KDE, so I gave up.
