I like it, I switch from GUI to command line often, having a HOTKEY. I can open and close the terminal (keeping old sessions active), like the quake command line appears.
Key bindings suggested to use. quake calls it the tilde menu (the "~" ), it since you don't press shift its really the grave menu.
