Help after updates (I Think)

I had Fluxbox 9 installed and working just fine, but I booted it up the other day and when booting now it hangs at the cupsd service.. What can I do to disable cupsd ??? I currently have to reboot it, but cant start compatibility mode... what key do I press to get the boot menu from grub????

1. I no longer have installed Fluxbox; I suppose you can start Synaptik Package Manager and search for "cups".
