Battery level indicator

Just installed fluxbox beta on an old Toshiba portege 7020CT with 128 mB ram and runs fine.
I have no experience with fluxbox as a WM so can someone indicate how I can add a battery indicator to the panel ?
Point to a wiki for instance ? Thanks in advance

I had exactly the same problem at the beginning (which was a bit annoying as I was on battery and couldn't plug my laptop so I didn't know how much battery life I had left) but what I did, which is probably the simplest way (but maybe not the best one) is to install gnome-power-management that you can find in Synaptic.

And then everything will be sorted

Hi, I see this post was from feb. so perhaps you guys have "moved on" but I wouldn't recommend using gnome utils - as it defeats the purpose of using a light system like fluxbox. My advice: Use a program called conky It's in the repos. Then edit a file called .conkyrc with the lines:

Apart from this conky will also tell you:

How much memory,CPU is being used, download speeds, heck mine even tells me the news headlines and the weather - and it uses a very small amount of memory.
