Although I think I will stick to Linux Mint with gnome. It's more polished. But this doesn't matter now.

Not showing up in downloads

Seems to be there now for me.

Still no use the above link.Does not show new Version.What have I done wrong?

I'm seeding it now Hopefully the torrent speeds will be good for fellow downloaders. (if the torrent is working by now )

I don't see any seeders at all, just lots of leechers coming & going trying to get it. Do I have the right tracker? (torrent.lintelligence.de) I'm also trying to get LinuxMint-4.0-miniKDE.iso, no seeders or leechers there at all. Are there any other trackers where I might find one or both of these?

I think the torrent is broken.

Is the default kernel pre-patched for the local-user privilege escalation issue that surfaced not to long ago? I didn't see it in the release notes, so I figured I'd just go ahead and ask.

Hallo Ladies and Gentlemen,

I would like to inform you, that language packs during install will be downloaded but not installed
This happened with the "de" (Germany)packages. Internet connection was enabled and I saw that the packages were downloaded to HD, but installation failed Packages were saved to /var/cache/apt/archive on Harddisc.

Can other non english speakers confirm that ? I am a bit frustrated

bernado, I am very sorry for your frustration. We tested using the French language and it worked for the final release. I did not foresee something like this happening. I figured if one language worked the others would as well. Because of this problem I will test with at least two languages from this point on.

A hearty congratulations to all involved. This is a beautiful release. I installed it yesterday when I got home from work and have not had any problems.
Usually with KDE I spend a while tweaking it to my wants, but with this release I did nothing more than change the desktop background. A testament to the polish applied by you folks.
