Worked for me.

I downloaded about two hours ago. Took about 35 minutes. Opened live cd then installed to Hd. Easy install. My hd partitions are a mess, but it found space on a fat 32 partition and ask to use that. Yes. Installed. Updated, 13 of them no problem.
Tried the following.
Gaim---------ok
Firefox-------ok
Print screen-ok
Made picture folder---ok
emailed with gmail, sent picture---ok
movie player and sound ---ok
