extraspecialbitter, you don't want to do that. Mint uses the Ubuntu repositories, so you won't get Elyssa so much as you will get Hardy. Actually you would get an odd combination of both of them I believe, and most likely would have issues with some things being broken.

The day we can afford our own repos entirely this will be a smaller problem

This is not to say you can't have Hardy repos in Daryna - as long as you don't do a dist-upgrade and install applications with caution and more than a bit of knowledge.... (meaning knowing if the app you install is compatible or not) and disable the Hardy repos as soon as you don't use them
