Update your systems immediately!
An error has been disclosed that affects the DNS protocol
Both DNS servers and clients need to update, and there is already some level 3 updates to fix this

This can be used for spoofing but as the bug is being fixed this will hopefully not happen

Will Mint 4 users be able to update through mintUpdate, or just through the Bind vulnerability ink provided? Casual Mint users may miss this forum announcement, but I realize it may be a lot of work to setup mintUpdate for previous versions of Mint.

I did the mint update in daryna - hope that got it...if not then I need help in trying to figure out what to do too.

Luckily (? ) this is fixed upstream in Ubuntu - they have a few more people than we and even paid people ...

yes - but Ubuntu seems to have dropped the ball on many, many bug fixes according to many posts and articles, and comments across the web.

did you maybe manually open ports for networking or some such thing? I am 'stock' Daryna and I never opened anything... Just a thought.
