You shouldn't need to reinstall.
Just follow the instructions here and you will have all the bug fixes.

Also testing a new version of XFCEs mintDesktop.

We don't have many translations for the XFCE or Fluxbox.

The enhancements found in this distro are amazing.

The ability to open the terminal wherever you want, to mount and unmount an iso, to check the md5sum, run as root just by right clicking is very useful.

Other winners for me include a working version of Brasero. This app is broken in ubuntu for me on two systems. Including Deluge over Transmission and the auto detection of windows networks by default, this is very high on my list

merlwiz79, I salute you.

Hi

Im running xfce 4. In order to have xfce 5, do I need a clean install or is there a way to upgrade without losing everything?

I'm busy today but hope to at least install XFCE Darnya.
Then I should be able to try to update to XFCE Elyssa.
Once I do I will post a how to.

Just more of a curiousity... I have a post on the Mint hardware forum re being unable to view Mint 5 because of "BusyBox" error message. This is still unresolved. I realize that XFCE is primarily a desktop/menu screen in Elyssa (I'm sure there's a more specific name for its purpose...), but if I download, will I still have my "friend" BusyBox essentially telling me that I can't install the XFCE version, too?

Perhaps this question is in the wrong place or maybe I'll save a few other prospective users from this frustration. I did not find anything using a search for "BusyBox" and XFCE. If one or other applies, sorry.

Thanks Merlwiz79, I've previously used Daryna Main Edition. My computer is about 4 years old, and I noticed that even using this Elyssa XFCE from cd, it was faster than Daryna Main Edition. After proper installation, I've been enjoying this edition very much. I owe you a couple of pints 8)
