They are still there, I'm running Amarok 1.4 in Intrepid as I type :)

do you mean Ubuntu Intrepid, or Mint 6?

for example, if I went into the package manager and searched for Gwenview, I'd be able to choose the KDE 3.5 or the KDE 4 version?

if so, I'll upgrade now!

Is anyone else having internet & update connection issues with Felicia? I've noticed on both Ubuntu 8.10 and Felicia that even though it shows that I'm connected to my wireless network (with 3 bars @ 54%), I cannot connect to either Mint Update nor can I get to internet sites. :?

Thanks!

thought so. and in Ubuntu Intrepid, there's no way to install KDE 3.5 apps. well you can, but it's not easy.

Just in case someone wanders on by who's interested in statistics.

I've uploaded 167 GB of the RC-1 ISO torrent since it has been released averaging 1 MB/s up and often exceeding it.

According to my client my ratio on that particular torrent is 258.58 which means to those non torrenters I've sent out about 258 copies of the ISO. And that's just from me. I can't imagine what all the other seeders have done.

Terriffic job by Clem and the team to make this what I'm sure is obviously one heck of a popular release.

I'm interested in seeing everyone elses stats on this torrent just to gauge exactly how popular it really is, so please let me know.

If anyone has stats from previous releases I'd love to see those to.

Don't suppose we can tell how many dls have gone on through http as well. I completely forgot about that option.

The only way I've found to break this is by installing those "half-a-dozen" HELD-BACK updates in Synaptic!

This is as solid as a rock!

And did I mention fast!

Just wondering, if I install the RC 1, when the final version is released, will it be available via updates?

I'd also like to know if there's going to be a USB installer for this (persistent of course).

I've tried the steps to take in another board but after modifying the initrd.gz it refuses to boot for some reason while 5 still works. Hopefully I'll get it to work somehow before the final gets released.

I think I noticed somewhere that there will be or should be a ".mint" file or at least instructions for upgrading from Elyssia or Felicia rc1 to Felicia full version. I hope that is right as I am hanging out for an upgrade rather than a re-install...

Tell me about it, it takes me about 2 hours or a little more to dwnld the rc1 via my wireless laptop using DSL.
I hate thinking about another one in (2)- weeks, plus a reinstall. :P

i have no problem to download, erverythime a new ISO, ok it take some time, but while downloading you can do other thing on the PC.

I'm very happy on my Laptop with Felicia RC1, first because of the kernel 2.6.27-X because know all my hardware work perfectly OUT OF THE BOX.
My Laptop is a Fujitsu-Siemens M1437g, so know that Laptop can be add in the mint-wiki as "Linux Mint friendly Laptop's" :D

On my main PC, i must wait for Felicia64, becaue of my 8GB-Ram (for the moment i use a selfmade mix from Intrepid and Mint6Tools), i will very happy when Felicia64 come out.
Sorry for my BAD English!!

I tried the rc1 (hp pavilion zv5180ea) and it is very impressive indeed. I am waiting though for the x64 version for my main pcs (both have 4 gb of ram and 64bit cpus). For the time being I use a heavily modified Ubuntu 8.10 with mint tools.
