Nice work! Merry Christmas

clem,

Nice work. Thank you. To give Mint a test run, I played a few Christmas tunes from the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. (I turned the volume up, too.)

Greetings to all.

I just switched from Suse 10.1 to Linux Mint Bea and I am very happy. Everything works. I got the wireless working with minimal effort. The directions in the welcome pages were right on and if I had been humble enough to read them through the first time the setup would have been even faster. .

Thanks to the whole team.

Same to you and yours!

Its all Clem though. I'll be helping with the 64-bit if Ubuntu 7.04 works out OK.

Congratluations to this amazing distro and a happy new year to all of you. javascript:emoticon(':P')
One hint to Clem. Could you please put your warning
Installation notes:
- Make sure not to install anything from the Live CD prior to installation, including language packs, as this could potentially crash the installer. Leave the session in English and proceed to install. Once installed on the hard-drive, if you want to change the language, simply click on System->Administration->Language Support.
at the download section. Because if you have been using Ubuntu/kubuntu before, you are used to change language settings for installation which will crash the installer for LinuxMint (friends of mine didn

this is a sign that linux users want an easy, cool, multimedia oriented linux distro. not something you throw away minutes after succeeding getting an audio or video to play,

this is to me what a linux operating system should be
