Nicely done Clem!!!!

The only thing I noticed (other than the 3d is not very good because Mint is based on Dapper - rage128 known issue) is that I couldn't stream well from shares on my other Linux computer. From my own hard drive I could play mp3s and avi files, but I couldn't stream them from the basement, even though I could see them.

Mint is lovely to use.

im pretty sure mint is edgy based ;)

Oh yeah I noticed some things

-Firstly the top left icon is a really bad looking one, please change!

-2nd) I noticed that all the linux mint logos are inconsistant, make about 3 that are for 3 different situations and stick with it.

-3rd) Thats it, very nice work! I hope Linux Mint goes a long way, I'm sure I can help out with graphics more if you want it. I also have been getting good in glade, just fyi!

Nice work! Merry Christmas

Postby Rafe on Fri Dec 22, 2006 12:38 pm

clem,

Nice work. Thank you. To give Mint a test run, I played a few Christmas tunes from the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. (I turned the volume up, too.)

I've been searching scrapetorrent for a while but I haven't found any torrents for this new version. I can't wait to download it though!

Greetings to all.

I just switched from Suse 10.1 to Linux Mint Bea and I am very happy. Everything works. I got the wireless working with minimal effort. The directions in the welcome pages were right on and if I had been humble enough to read them through the first time the setup would have been even faster. .

Thanks to the whole team.

Same to you and yours!

Its all Clem though. I'll be helping with the 64-bit if Ubuntu 7.04 works out OK.

Audigy Issues?

Postby clivesay on Tue Dec 26, 2006 7:43 pm

Anyone having problems with sound once installed? It appears sound works ok on live cd but is broken when installed to HD. I have an Audigy Platinum 2 card. Thanks
