Well, I've reported many spam and spammers but didn't get any feedback (if that was a real spam and spammer or not), so do I suppose a kind of a feedback is important too...

I wouldn't normally do that myself (I'm a Forum Admin at openSUSE)
And I wouldn't expect the mods here to respond to my reports of spam here.

If you get no reply from a report, that generally means that the reported post or topic has been acted on by a moderator. The board is set up to send an automatic email notice to the reporter only if the report was closed or deleted without action.

We get too many valid spam reports to even attempt to reply to each reporter individually, but do not think we are not grateful. You are our extra eyes on the forum. The moderators cannot check every new post for spam. We look for certain patterns in posts but the spammer who registers, plants one spam post and disappears is difficult to find.

The mod team depends on forum members to spot the ones we miss and report them. Even if you are not sure it is spam, report it and let us decide what, if anything, to do about it. Any mod will tell you we would rather you report anything the least bit suspicious than not report anything.

Again, let me express the thanks of the mod team for your continuing help in keeping this forum as clear of spam and other negative posts as it can be.

If u'd report any spam here, you'd know there's a choice for a feedback, u smart...

I agree with Aging Technogeek as one night I sat here and spotted about 20 or so spam messages .The ones I reported were just not caught yet but this just goes to show there are times when these forums are flooded with spam and reports... so if the Mods don't get back to you understand they may be busy :D :D :D :D May I also say congrats to the new mods :) :) :) :)
