It sounds like the title of a paper, but it is just that. CrossOver installs smoothly, but halts and freezes the total system while creating Win98.
BTW: CrossOver works fine with Xubuntu 7.10 Gutsy and MEPIS 7.0 Beta (and for the record with Wolvix 1.1.0 Hunter).

no WINE for Beta Daryna
The only disappointment so far: the XFCE-version does the same while installing a bottle: it freezes completely.
WINE and CrossOver for that matter changed the way my family members look at Linux in general. One of my favorites still is Mint, but this freezing halts the process of introducing and promoting it more widely as an alternative to WinXP.
